What Would You Do? Words of Wisdom About Doing the Right Thing
How exactly did John Quiñones become the personification of a moral compass? He credits much of his having an ethical core to his mother, Maria (also known as Mama Q) and a childhood chock-full of green bean sandwiches. Growing up poor and Latino in San Antonio, Texas, presented many challenges that Quiñones faced head-on. In his quest to become a television news correspondent he was determined to turn anything that seemed like a disadvantage into an asset. He wouldn’t let setbacks dissuade him from achieving his goals.
In What Would You Do? Words of Wisdom About Doing the Right Thing, Quiñones shares stories from the many parts of his colorful life: his humble beginnings and his time covering war-torn nations and interviewing dictators, as well as the birth and incredible success of the show What Would You Do? In each instance, whether he failed or thrived, Quiñones managed to remain the embodiment of hope, optimism, and integrity . . . even when no one was watching.
