Back in New York City!
Whew - what at a whirlwind trip that was to the West coast in October!
We spent more than two weeks in Portland, Oregon where we focussed WWYD's hidden cameras on a number of scenarios - including, the issues of Homelessness, Runaways, Mean baristas, Stolen Bikes, Littering, a mom berating her child for being overweight and, Marijuana (its sale now legal in the state of Oregon).
The results were at times heart-breaking and, heart-warming. I love taking the show on the road because geography matters so much on all these issues. Reactions can vary so much from state to state.
I then flew to San Bernardino, California where I spoke to students at the Cal-State campus there, followed by a trip to Albuquerque, NM where I met the amazing students at the Bosque School and, helped raise $$$ for scholarships at that beautiful institution. Finally, I flew to Denver for a keynote address to the Denver Scholarship Foundation, helping raise more that $100,000 for kids in need.
I feel honored and blessed to be able to use the notoriety of this wonderful TV show...to give back and help with so many great and, worthy causes.
Now, back to shooting more scenarios for WWYD! Rumor has it that ABC wants us back on the air as soon as this coming January! So...stay tuned.
