2024 White House Correspondents Dinner

Over the weekend – I had such a fabulous time at the White House Correspondents Dinner. Actually, it was only the second time I’ve attended. I don’t usually cover politics - so, it’s been a real honor to be invited.

It was quite an impressive crowd: some 3,000 journalists, politicians and celebrities. ABC News purchased several tables at the event - as did all the other TV and digital networks as well as newspapers, of course. All for a great cause – this year, the WHCA raised more than $3 million in scholarship money for journalism / media students!  The celebrity guest at our table: Rosario Dawson – who is not only a tremendous actor but, also gives back to the community in so many ways. She’s a die-hard political activist and, a strong ally of the LGBTQ community. Such a joy chatting with her – albeit too briefly.

On Friday night – before Saturday’s big dinner – I attended a couple of amazing parties. Got to hang out a bit with the WHCD’s host, SNL’s Colin Jost, my great amiguita, 60 Minutes Correspondent Cecilia Vega, and my good friend and agent, United Talent’s Ryan Hayden. 

All in all…a pretty fabulous weekend!
